Remember me

I love it when old cult hits that you've been eagerly waiting for or completely have forgotten finally appear on dvd and now you're just counting the days for their releases.  Two movies are finally debuting on dvd in March 2007, the cult flicks Solarbabies and Night Of The Comet.

Solarbabies, which stars Jamie Gertz, Jason Patric, Lukas Haas and Adrian Pasdar, takes place in a future in which most of the water has disappeared from Earth.  There's a group of teenagers who live in an orphanage run by evil rulers.  They find this orb that gives them special powers and plan to escape on skates so that they can live free.

Night Of The Comet (one of my faves as a child) stars Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney as two high school sisters who wake up one day to find that everyone in LA has been turned to dust by the comet.  Shopping sprees, some freaky zombie dudes and scientists in some secret underground government installation follow as the Valley girls try to figure things out.

The one movie that I'm still waiting for (and I'm sure many more agree) is Howard The Duck!  C'mon man, release the damn movie and make it a 2-disc special edition while you're at it.

Oh wow.  Oh wow.  Oh wow.  Oh wow.

The new Transformers trailer is online.

The bots look goooooooooood.  I only wish they had Prime's voice at some point in the trailer.  That woulda been kick ass.

They've also nicely updated www.transformersmovie.com.

All episodes of Heroes are available for watching on the net
... and the best part: it's legit.  :)

Looks like the emails flying between Al and crew (that I've been cc'd on) about Heroes will go from being spam to being an interesting discussion that I can actually follow and contribute to.

(Thanks to Limbo for the link)

On a side note, in searching for the above logo I came across Hooker Heroes: Prostitutes that changed the world.  The net never ceases to amaze me...
George sent me this wicked site that every sci-fi fan should check out: Starship Dimensions at merzo.net.

They list one of my all time favourite spaceships - the Gunstar from The Last Starfighter.  I built the Gunstar out of lego countless times - the more lego I got, the more detailed the Gunstar became.

Was there a more devastating weapon than the Death Blossom?  I think not.

Just thought I'd post a quick shoutout to may main man Jim who celebrated his 31st birthday yesterday.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM!!!

I had an amazing gift for the guy too but since he lives in friggin' San Fran now, I gave it to someone else.  I'm kidding Jim (or am I?)
