Scouting ReportKevin is the best pure offensive player on the Wexford Ballahs roster.

He is an excellent shooter who consistently hits the three off the dribble, and if he's taking a set shot his range extends 5 feet beyond the 3 point arc.  His height advantage allows him to get a clean look at the hoop on pretty much every shot he takes.  Kevin's shooting is very similar to his idol, Dirk Nowitzki, and just like Dirk, Kevin almost never has a bad shooting game.

Kevin is not just a one-dimensional offensive player, however.  His preference is a long range shot, but if you D up too tight on him, he's equally adept at driving past you.  He prefers to go baseline, away from the help defense.  If he goes left to the baseline, he'll finish with his patented right handed scoop layup.  If he goes right along the baseline, expect a reverse layup.  Kevin's scoop shot is almost unstoppable - even though defenders are expecting that shot, they'll end up fouling him 90% of the time rather than actually stopping the shot.

Kevin is also strong on the offensive glass.  He'll start from the perimeter where it's difficult to box him out, get into the key quickly, and use his wingspan to get to the ball before anyone else.  He is an excellent finisher and gets many offensive put back baskets.

If you are guarding Kevin, you must be prepared to work very hard.  Due to his height advantage and ability to finish, you won't often stop him one on one.  You must challenge every shot he takes, and if he drives, try to keep him away from the baseline and channel him into the key - Kevin can be stopped with good help defense.  Also, don't turn your back on Kevin if he doesn't have the ball; stay with him and box him out no matter where he is on the court.

Note for help defenders: be aware that Kevin is also very good at shooting from behind a pick: if your man is setting a pick for Kevin, you should be stepping up to deny the open shot.

Kevin's strengths lie in his offense, but he is also a factor on defense, where he employs his wingspan intimidatingly.  Kevin is not the strongest one-on-one defender (his lateral mobility is a weakness) but his long arms and height allow him to recover quickly.  You will be able to beat Kevin off the dribble, but do not go straight up with your shot as he will be there to block your shot from over your shoulder.  You will be safe from his blocks if you lose Kevin on a pick.

The weakest part of Kevin's game is his transition defense.  He spends too much time admiring his offensive game to get back on defense.  :)   Seriously though, he doesn't get back very quickly and can be beat down the court for a quick transition bucket the other way.
Misc. Notes- earned the nickname Mutombo during a summer game at an outdoor court where he was blocking everything in sight... but the hoops were lower than regulation.
- Kevin likes the Nike Shox VC3.  I mean he really, really likes them.  He's collecting them all and he's only missing the black/silver colorway.  In fact, he has two of the white/black/red colorway.
- last 4 visits to the hospital have been due to basketball-related injuries: stitched-up eye and lip, surgery for broken nose, cast for ankle
Career Highlights- combined with Ed and Kei to form the Scarborough Warrior's "Best Front Court Ever" (even though Kevin played out of position as a center)
- able to dunk a volleyball a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (ie. back in highschool)
- scored 10 points for Monarch Park CI in a highschool game against Jarvis that actually got published in the Sun

There are currently no pictures of Kevin in action, however there is a shot of Kevin in a Nowitzki football jersey, standing beside his other idol, Mark Cuban.
