Sara and I performed the condo inspection today, and I took the opportunity to take some photos.

We will be putting in hardwood flooring before we move in on November 9, so I think the end result will look a lot different than it does now, but still you get to see how big and airy the unit looks.  The pictures don't do the 22' ceilings justice - the rooms feel absolutely cavernous.

The patio is a little weird - it's actually meant as a fire escape for the five units that are on the inside of the building.  This means it hasn't been sectioned off for each unit to own, so it's just a big open courtyard and anyone from the five units can walk out and look into the other units.  I think it will be strange for me when I'm working at home, if anyone is outside hanging around.  The good news is that we are at one end of the courtyard so there should be no reason for people to be in front of our windows.

The access to the patio is also a little strange - it's not a door, but rather a large window.  It's about  two feet up from the ground level, so you have to step over a two foot wall to get outside.  It think it's a bit annoying, but Sara loves it and says it's Dawson's Creek styles.  I guess it's good one of us likes it.

Being that we look out into the courtyard in the back of the building, we don't have much of a view.  We do get a lot of sun, however, so the unit is nice and bright.  It'll be even better once wood floors are in, I imagine.

Take a look at the condo.
