Home sweet home
We closed the condo on Thursday November 9, which happened to be the last night Eddie, Melissa, and Ken were in town.  We were so excited that we decided to spend the night.  There was no furniture, so we roughed it.  :)

We moved in on Saturday, but the hardwood floor was still being installed during our move.  Crazy sawdust everywhere.  The worst part is, after our move, we can't find our vacuum cleaner.  I can see losing toiletries, or a hat or even a pair of shoes, but a vacuum cleaner??  We need to get one soon - I'm sure there's a lot of sawdust in the bedroom carpet now.

The movers finished before the flooring was complete, so to kill some time Sara and I hit an open house in another unit in the building.  We introduced ourselves to the listing agent and it turns out he lives a couple units down from ours!  He saw the floors as they were being installed and he said "Ah, so you are the ones with the excellent greenish floors."  I did a double take.  Did he say greenish floors?  I distinctly chose a very deep brown coloured wood sample.  We had some more chit chat about the building and neighbourhood, then we quickly headed back down to take a good look at the flooring.  It was indeed green.  And I definitely chose a deep brown wood colour.  First instinct: they didn't install the wood we chose!  But upon further investigation, it turns out that the wood has a green tint only in direct sun light, and is a deep brown otherwise.  It must sound strange, but it looks really cool.  We're pretty happy with it.

Anyways, we're fully moved in now and we've got a few day's worth of unpacking ahead of us.

Check out some pictures of our visitor's stay as well as some shots from the move in day.
