So my brother Jeff is in town for a couple days. Yesterday we hit a few scenic spots to take some photos. I usually wait til the trip is finished before I post pics, but a specific sequence of photos was soooo awesome I had to post them.
So we were up on the hills on the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge, and it was crazy windy up there. We set up the camera on a tripod to take a timed group shot, and you can guess what happened next.... :)

I dropped by a friend's apartment over the weekend and took a bunch of pictures. His apartment complex is an amazing area, with palm tree-lined streets and excellent landscaping. In other words, a perfect location for me to take pictures of my new car. :) Check out the new pictures.

Winter is rainy season here in the Bay Area, and I've been told that
this winter was one of the worst in recent memory, which resulted in
tons and tons and tons of rain hitting the small mountains/large hills
surrounding the Bay. The copious amounts of rain led to the hills
being green rather than their normal yellow/dirt colour.
I got here just after the worst of the rain storms, so I've only seen the incredibly green hills and I was reminded of Maui - from a distance, the verdant hills surrounding Fremont look similar to the tropical rain forest covering the side of Mt. Haleakala. Here's a snapshot I took during my drive... it really doesn't do the hills justice - they're really much bigger when you see them in person. :) (click the pic for the larger version)

So, the latest Big Thing in my life: I'm now working in California. Specifically, I'm in the Bay Area... not quite Silicon Valley, but close enough to count me as part of the Brain Drain...
