Remember me
Sara had been growing her hair for almost a year now, both for the wedding and to donate it to Locks of Love.  She chopped it all off right after the wedding, going for the "short, funky" look.  Henry had predicted this a couple months back, saying all women cut their hair short after they get married.  He's coined the term "Lo-po cut"  :)

Since Sara cut it the day we left Toronto, nobody's really seen her hair.  Take a look at what's left of it.

I miss her long hair.
Finally had time to post some wedding photos.  Unfortunately there's not a lot of pictures - as the groom, I wasn't able to do my typical thing of running around with a camera snapping lots of photos.  In fact, most of the photos I've got were taken by friends who were kind enough to take pictures with my camera instead of theirs.

I've got some pictures from the door games, the ceremony, the reception, and the after party.  I'll be posting more shots as I get em, but this is what I've got for now.

You can either hit the links above or just go to www.jimtay.com/Wedding and see the photo categories on the left.

There are more pictures taken by my brother over at saraandjim.mode80.com, so feel free to check those out.  Additionally, the great slideshow he made for me is available online at www.mode80.com/Wedding/Slideshow.htm
All that work and planning, all over in a single day.  What a day it was, though - Sara and I had such a great time we didn't want it to end.  We pretty much closed out Panorama as we were the last ones to leave at 11:30pm.  We held a small after-party in our guest suite and then hit a bar on Yonge St. to have more drinks.  Like I said, we didn't want the night to end.  :)

It was great being in a room full of people you know, yet it was also tough being in a room full of people you know - you don't get to spend even half as much time as you'd like with everybody and I'm sorry to say there were entire tables that Sara and I did not get a chance to visit with throughout the night.  I hope everyone enjoyed the food and had a good time at the party.

We are also overwhelmed by everybody's generosity; I'm not ashamed to say that while opening our gifts we were reduced to tears with the realization of just how many amazing people are in our lives.

It was without a doubt the best and happiest day of my life.  Thank you all.

Happily ever after begins...

Hi all,

We've decided to create a wedding registry at Macy's.  To see the registry, please go to www.macys.com and click Wedding Registry in the top right corner.  Once there, simply "Find" our registry (again in the top right) - searching for either Sara Huang or Jim Tay will get you to our registry.

As always, feel free to email either Sara (sara.shuang@gmail.com) or myself (jim.tay@gmail.com) with questions or comments.  You can also post them as comments to this article; I will respond to any comments promptly.

Thanks,
Jim

Sorry everyone for falling behind the 8-ball on this. Jim & I are struggling a bit to put a gift registry together because of our current transition. With both of us relocating to San Francisco, we thought it would best for us to register with a US retailer that is accessible in Canada, and is close to our new home in northern California.

I will be arriving in town on Saturday, April 1st and we will head out to explore. We will keep you posted.
Hi all,

To RSVP for the wedding, simply send an email to rsvp@jimtay.com.  The invites have been addressed to the guests; please let us know if everyone can make it.

Here's a sample email, in case you're not sure what to put:

To: rsvp@jimtay.com
From: jim.tay@gmail.com
Subject: Wedding RSVP

Hi,

Thanks for the invite!  Sara and I will be attending the wedding.

See you in May,
Jim

As always, feel free to send either myself (jim.tay@gmail.com) or Sara (sara.shuang@gmail.com) an email if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks,
Jim
