Synopsis: Ellen Aim (Diane Lane) comes home and puts on a concert for her home town. During the concert, Ellen is abducted by Raven (Willem Dafoe) the leader of the Bombers, a biker gang. Enter Tom Cody (Michael Pare) who's called to come back and save Ellen. With the help of McCoy (Amy Madigan) and Billy Fish (Rick Moranis), they set out into the streets to fight the Bombers and get Ellen back.
A Rock & Roll Fable. That's its tagline and that's exactly what it is. This movie has it all. It's an action, comedy, musical, drama, suspense, supernatural, futuristic thriller. Actually, it's not all of that but most of it. Then again, when you see one of the outfits that Willem Dafoe is wearing, you'll wonder if it's present day or the future or maybe he just has some bad taste in clothing. The movie starts off with the concert and the music is awesome. The action starts off right away with Ellen getting dragged away. The second Michael Pare enters the screen, the movie just sky rockets from there. This dude is the best f*****g action hero! The way he just slaps people around, blows the crap out of anything and everything and challenges anybody to a fight...that's a hero. And you'll get a kick out of his clothing as well.
This movie just rocks in so many ways possible. Michael Pare's one-liners, Diane Lane's voice and looks, Willem Dafoe's creepy performance, Rick Moranis being Rick Moranis and Amy Madigan's I don't give a s**t attitude. Also, Bill Paxton makes an appearance in this film. They were all damn good in this movie. The action in this movie is top-notch. I'll take Michael Pare over Arnold, Stallone or Van Damme any day. After blowing everything up, Pare gets ready to battle it out with Dafoe in a one-on-one fight in the streets.
There's not much else I really want to say about this film since I don't want to spoil much of it. If it's something you've never seen, then it's definitely a movie worth watching. It's a fun and enjoyable movie that anyone can watch and personally, this is one movie I never get tired of watching over and over.
Before I finish this review I just have to say one thing to one of the actors, "yo Dafoe! What's up with the lipstick?" That's right everyone. You'll notice it too.
