Remember me
Last Friday's rain and flooding was incredible.

Sara and I were at Yonge and Steeles when the rain hit; luckily we were indoors at a car dealership so we were sheltered from the grape-sized hailstones.  Once the rain died down we tried to get home, but every intersection was flooded with the water level higher than muffler level so there were cars stalled all over the place... at one intersection, a Cavalier was stuck in water that was right up to the windows!  Of course through all of this my camera was stuck in the trunk of the car... no pictures!

Luckily Vedran forwarded me some pictures of a road that collapsed due to the rain.  I believe this was Sentinel Road, near Keele and Finch, and the pictures are taken from a great vantage point at a condo overlooking the damage.

Check out the amazing pictures.
Have you heard the one about McDonald's offering lobster burgers out in Halifax? Well, I'm in Halifax right now, and I can tell you....   more »
So I'm going through my blog and I notice this article was in 'draft' mode... for 8 months!  It somehow slipped through the cracks and didn't get posted til now.  But as they say, better late than never.

ps. Happy anniversary Jeff and Sonja!

What a great trip - 14 people went down to Mexico at the end of July 2004 to witness Jeff and Sonja get married in the Mayan Riviera.

With such a great group together, it's hard not to have fun, whether it's splashing around the pool, playing beach volleyball, enjoying pina coladas in the bar, exploring Mayan ruins, or just hanging around the resort.

And there was the wedding - what an absolutely beautiful wedding.  Congratulations Jeff and Sonja!

I've organized the pictures into four mini-albums.  Click the pictures below to check out all of the pictures.  Enjoy!
